Welcome to West Virginia University Facilities and Services.
Our units employ a great number of talented and skilled workers whose jobs range from planning and managing the construction of this institution’s outstanding facilities to maintaining these structures and the grounds that envelope them.
A Real Estate unit manages the space needs of the University, including any property acquisitions or lease arrangements.
Other professionals are involved in providing a safe and secure campus environment through the Campus Police force, while Environmental Health and Safety officials work to ensure proper federal and state safety procedures are followed through plan inspections, training programs, equipment checks and careful inspections.
The area of sustainability is leading and coordinating the many efforts to improve energy efficiency as well as integrating sustainability principles into all facets of the university and its people.
Delivering effective and efficient modes of transportation on and around campus as well as providing parking and parking options to employees and visitors is the role of our Transportation and Parking unit.
Our contributions are grounded in a facilities master plan which supports the academic, research and service missions of the University.
