The Student Recreation Center occupies a 12-acre site on the lower Evansdale campus, near the Evansdale Residential Complex. A $90 student fee increase, approved by students in April 1997, pays for the center.

The new facility has significantly improved the quality of life for students on campus, featuring seven basketball courts, three racquetball courts; a squash court; 17,000 square feet of weight/fitness area on two levels; three large multipurpose rooms; a three-story climbing wall; an aquatics area with lap pool, leisure pool and spa; an elevated running track; a food court; administrative offices and support space.
