Goals of Research & Tax Accounting

As WVU embarks on its pursuit to create the institution described in the vision statement, Research & Tax Accounting must be poised to provide the support necessary to accomplish that purpose within the framework of the mission of Administration, Finance, and Human Resources. We do that by creating Research & Tax Accounting goals and action plans that are consistent with and supportive of the vision, mission, and values and developing measurable objectives that facilitate their achievement.

Research & Tax Accounting goals are not a finite list. We are in an environment that is constantly changing. Therefore, our goals must be adaptable enough to meet the changing needs of our customers and still be consistent with the vision, mission, and values.

Research & Tax Accounting will strive to:

  • Provide effective and efficient accounting and finance support to the University community (faculty, staff, and students).
  • Build a workforce that is professional, flexible, and of exceptional quality.
  • Provide up to date and meaningful management information.
