Fellow Mountaineers.  The West Virginia University Fraternity System offers a wonderful community with a variety of opportunities that will enhance your overall collegiate experience.  The Greek System at West Virginia University offers young men fourteen Inter-Fraternity Council (IFC) sanctioned chapters to choose from.  While different chapters traditionally cater to different interests and geographic areas, all houses offer young men, the same positive fraternity experience as the others.  The Inter-fraternity Council is the third largest student organization on campus representing all fourteen fraternities on campus, covering over seven hundred and fifty young men from all walks of life, covering over twenty states, and representing nearly all majors offered at West Virginia University.

Being Greek at West Virginia University means more than just wearing Greek letters, attending meetings, and going to social functions. The new West Virginia University Greek System focuses on the relationships made, community service offered, and the positive impact, we as young men can make on our University.  The commitments made to a fraternity allow for personal development with the support of brothers and the guidance of invaluable alumni. “Going Greek” in the West Virginia University Greek system means becoming a part of something larger than oneself, while still contributing one’s skills and distinctions to their fraternity, making their mark forever.
