Disegno Italia – where academic study and Italian life become one!
More than a study abroad program, Disegno Italia is an integrated cultural immersion experience set within the distinctive landscape of Tuscany. With a focus on the genius of Italian creativity in art and design, West Virginia University and il Sillabo have created a curriculum which enhances the multi-faceted education gained through a semester’s study in Italy. Located in the authentic Tuscan town of San Giovanni Valdarno, just outside of Florence, il Sillabo offers required and electives courses which all participate in a central core of activities, including numerous field trips, that are designed to intensify the students’ cultural understanding and knowledgeable engagement of Italy. This semester program is enhanced by two extended weekend study tours of Rome, conducted by Rome University of Fine Arts (RUFA), and a week-long residency in Milan with the faculty of Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti (NABA).
- Price includes: WVU Credits, Il Sillabo tuition and fees, lodging and field trip guides
