WVU-Vendée is a five-week immersion program designed to improve French language skills through real-life experiences in one of France's most beautiful and historic regions, Vendée.

All of the program activities are conducted exclusively in French and are designed to give students an in-depth and authentic experience of French culture. The program is based in Les Sables d'Olonne, a small town in the western province of Vendée, which provides an ideal location for students to immerse and integrate themselves in the French language and culture. The program will also include excursions to Paris, in and around Vendée and the nearby Loire Valley, where students will explore key stages in French history.

Course Information

• FRCH 470: Culture en direct, 3 credits - Syllabus
• FRCH 471: Communication en direct, 3 credits - Syllabus
• Prerequisites: 6 hours of French at the 300-level

Cost: $4,500

• Price includes: WVU credits, housing, some meals, excursions, extended learning fee, international travel insurance
• Not included: International flight, passport fees, personal expenses
