This program is designed to enhance students' Chinese language skills and culture awareness through daily interaction with native Chinese speakers and immersion into the culturally rich area of Taiwan.

This program takes place at the Ming Chuan University in Taipei, Taiwan, one of the largest cultural and economic centers in Asia. Included in the course is a weekend excursion to the National Palace Museum which holds the world’s largest collection of Chinese art and artifacts.

  • CHIN 293B: Chinese Language and Culture in Taipei, 3 credits
  • CHIN 293D: Contemporary Taiwan, 3 credits
  • Prerequisite: CHIN 102
  • Syllabus

Cost: $1,150

  • Price includes: WVU credits, housing, some meals, local transportation, excursions, international health insurance
  • Not included: International Airfare, passport, personal expenses
