ISEP-Direct programs provide West Virginia college students with affordable study abroad opportunities to enroll in over 30 host institutions for a semester or a full year. Summer programs are also available at many sites. Unlike with ISEP-Exchange Programs, there is an excellent chance of placement for all ISEP-Direct programs and students have a greater chance of receiving their first-choice institution.

ISEP-Direct programs also have very affordable fees compared to other study abroad program providers. Students pay WVU for the cost of an ISEP-Direct program. In addition, federal financial aid, WVU Scholarships, West Virginia State Aid (including WV Promise), and student loans may be used toward an ISEP-Direct program.
