- As with most law libraries, the WVU College of Law Library has a largely non-circulating research collection. However, some books may be borrowed for use outside the Law Center building.
- Materials such as law reviews, compilations of statutes, case reports, and loose-leaf services circulate only to library carrels and to law faculty.
- All Library patrons must present a current WVU Mountaineer Card, a WVU Libraries Card, or a College of Law Borrowers' Card when checking out materials at the Circulation Desk. For information on how to obtain a library card, ask at the Circulation Desk or call 293-5300.
- The normal loan period is three weeks. A book may be renewed for three additional loan periods if no one else has requested it. Renewals may be made in person, by E-mail, mail, by telephone, 293-5300, or by filling out the Renew a Book form.
- All materials borrowed from the Library are subject to recall or temporary retrieval to meet the urgent needs of other members of the University community.
- The Law Library's overdue fine is $1 per day, per book for overdue fines. It is the responsibility of all patrons, faculty and staff included, to know when Library materials are due and to return or renew them on or before the due date.
