As a
writing specialist, I work part-time at the College of Law. My
office is room 228, and I have a mailbox in the main office.
Faculty members encourage all first-year students to work with
me throughout the year. During the year, I am available
for two kinds of assistance:
**One-on-one appointments to go over drafts of upcoming papers
or to discuss a graded paper.
**Writing workshops, each of which is devoted
to a special writing topic.
Announcements for appointments and workshops are made by the
professors during lectures and are posted on the bulletin board
section for 1L students. I will also post announcements
on this site and via TWEN postings. Because I am not in the building every
day, students must read the messages on the bulletin board, listen
to announcements by the professors, and read updates on this
site. I will meet with each student before the end of September
to go over the results of the diagnostic test taken during orientation
and to go over the evaluation of the informal essay written during
orientation.
