Technical Notes

Please take the following steps as quickly as possible to insure the minimum problems in your efforts to access this course web site:

Some students report problems in using the case links from the Syllabus. To solve this problem, the Syllabus contains citations to the cases which you can plug into Lexis or Westlaw or read in the Library.

Download and install the most recent Adobe Acrobat Reader version 7. You can do this by going to http://www.adobe.com and following the links to the Reader download. It is free. If you are using an older Reader, you may experience difficulty reading some files on this site.

If you have not already done so, you need to register to use the CALI web site. Throughout the course, CALI materials will be assigned. To register go to http://www.cali.org and enter the password which I provided to you on the first day of class. (If you have forgotten, see me.)

You can run the CALI lessons from a CD (available for puschase from the Library) or on line. If you have a low speed Internet connection from your home and you want to run the lessons there, I suggest you get the CD.

Many of the case downloads for this class are fairly large. If you do not have an internet connection at home or if it is slow, you may want to download the cases in the Library. It is not an excuse for being unprepared that you were unable to download course material.
