Jodie Hoover - is currently a junior Geography major here at WVU.  She grew up in Brownsville, PA and transferred here after her first year at California University of PA.  Jodie is interested in all aspects of Geography and plans to earn her Bachelor's with emphasis in GIS and Natural Resources.  After graduation, Jodie plans to attend Graduate School out West and earn her Masters Degree in GIS and Physical Geography.  Jodie hopes to eventually earn a PhD in the area of GIS and teach at the college level.

Stefanie Puher - is from Morgantown, West Virginia and came to WVU on a leadership scholarship.  She is majoring in biology with a minor in communications. Stefanie is a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and Gamma Beta Phi.  She was on the dean's list last semester and was also selected for WHO's Who among college students.  She currently works as an undergraduate researcher in biology and plans to start volunteering at the hospital.  Stefanie's plans post-graduation include either applying to Medical School or Graduate school.

Lauren Pizza - is a junior finance major.  She plans to graduate with a double major in finance and accounting.  Lauren was born in Prince Georges County, MD, but has lived in Clay County, West Virginia for 12 years with her family.  Her current research interest is on community banking, but she also hopes to learn more about corporate law and finances. Lauren plans to study abroad in Italy during her senior year. She also plans to attend grad school after WVU and then possibly law school.  Last year, she became a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and competed as an athlete on the WVU Women's Rowing Team. 

 

Teresa Jones - was born and raised in Oak Hill, a small town in southern West Virginia.  She is currently a junior psychology major and a member of the Gamma Beta Phi Society. Her future plans are to attend graduate school and earn her PhD. in a psychology-related field and to possibly become a professor at a university.

Gina Zirilli - Graduated with a B.A. in Communication.

-She graduated with a Master's in Communication from the Ohio State University.

Gabriel Tapia - is a native of Morgantown, WV by way of Penaflor, Chile.  He is currently wrapping up a math degree while beginning another degree in psychology.  His plans for graduate school are unclear, but he is quoted as saying 'I'll quit higher education when they run out of things to teach me.'  He wants to conduct research in gray areas between disciplines and to teach classes that unify themes in disparate academic subjects, in order to combat increasing specialization in the modern world.

Laura Steele - is from Moundsville, West Virginia.  She is an Elementary Education major currently in the five-year education program.  She plans to teach in the public school system for a few years, and then pursue a Doctorate in Education. 

 

Angela J. Schaffer - is originally from Parkersburg, WV, but she has been calling Morgantown "home" for the better part of ten years. Angela is currently working towards a BSN and RN through the WVU School of Nursing undergraduate program where she was recently honored as "Outstanding Sophomore Student of the Year: 01-02."  She hopes to eventually obtain a MSN or ND and become a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (CFNP) or a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) so that she may assist in the goal of better access to health care for underserved areas in West Virginia through direct care and teaching. Her interests include a holistic approach to health care, homeopathy, reiki, herbalogy, and anything that has to do with hiking around in the woods. This summer Angela will be volunteering at the Morgantown Health Right, a free clinic that provides health care to uninsured patients in the area.
