Tochukwu Aguoji (To-choo-ku, A-gu-or-gii) - is a Management Information Systems, Marketing and Communication Major who often goes by the nickname T. Tochukwu was born in Kano, Nigeria but raised in Lagos, Nigeria. He does not speak the native language of Kano (Igbo) but can understand it when spoken to. He plans to attend graduate school to get a master’s in Marketing or Management. In his spare time Tochukwu enjoys playing basketball, computers, video games and hanging out with friends.  

 

Nicole Bono is a non-traditional WVU student. She presently holds an Associate degree in Biotechnology and is pursuing a B.S. in Exercise Physiology. She plans to attend graduate school in exercise physiology at WVU. In addition, she is considering the teaching and practice of clinical medicine. Before settling in West Virginia she resided in several states, including Georgia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Nevada, Colorado, Arizona, and Texas. She is currently employed at Monongalia General Hospital as a telemetry tech. In her spare time she enjoys playing in the Buckskin coed soccer league, fencing, volunteering with EMS, teaching CPR, and 5k races. She is also a dog lover; she has a Boston terrier and a Brittany spaniel mix.  

Jon Michael Bosley is currently a senior majoring in Environmental Geoscience. Jon Michael is the son of John Bosley of Durbin, West Virginia and is in the middle of six kids. Jon Michael plans to attend graduate school on the west coast and obtain a master's degree in Environmental Science. After his master's degree Jon Michael will get either a PhD in Environmental Science or attend law school and study Environmental Law.

Amber Davis is a psychology major from Charleston, WV. She is currently a junior, and a member of the Gamma Beta Phi Society as well as the West Virginia Marching Band. Amber plans to pursue her PhD in clinical psychology.

Amisha Dean is a 22 year-old student at West Virginia University.  She is a psychology major and also a member Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.  After graduation, Amisha plans on going to graduate school for a master’s and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology.  Her interests include dancing, community service, art therapy, reading, and all outdoors activities.  She has been participating in the WVU African dance Ensemble for three semesters.

Adrian Thompson is a senior Psychology major looking to gain a Ph. D. in child clinical psychology.  He started his undergraduate work at Howard University, but transferred to West Virginia University in the fall of 2002.  He wants to study external stressors on urban and inner city children with an emphasis on African American children.

Rose Mazza is a non-traditional student.  She returned to WVU in the fall of 2000 to finish her degree in Foreign Languages. Her languages include Spanish, French, and Italian.  She is currently a senior and is planning to graduate in December 2003.  Before coming back to WVU, she was a Kindergarten assistant at St. Mary's Grade School.  Rose was born in Italy and came to the United States with her family at the age of 12. She now resides in Clarksburg, where she lives with her husband Louie and her daughter Giuliana. Her plans for the future are to attend graduate school and continue research and study in her field. Rose enjoys cooking, reading, needlepoint and dancing. Together with her daughter she has been a member of the West Virginia Italian Festival Dancers for the past 12 years. The group performs every year during Labor Day weekend in Clarksburg, WV. 

 

Donald Hill is a Junior Finance major from Morgantown, West Virginia.  He is a West Virginia Storer Scholarship recipient and also a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.  His hobbies are playing basketball, weight lifting, snowboarding, and working out with kids from his high school wrestling team. After completing his B.S. in Finance, he plans to pursue a Doctorate in Finance.

Christopher Williamson is a junior political science major from Mingo County, WV.  He plans on double majoring in political science and economics.  His research involves southern West Virginia and the topics of education and economic development.  He is currently involved in Student Government and a member of the WVU Athletic Council.  After receiving his bachelor’s degrees in political science and economics, he is interested in entering a joint program where he can receive a Doctor of Jurisprudence (JD) and either a Master's degree in Public Policy (MPP) or a Master's degree in Public Administration (MPA).

Jonathan Young is from Charleston, WV.  He is an Economics and Political Science double major who plans to attend graduate school to receive a Ph.D. in Economics and possibly an M.S. in Political Science.  He is a member of the Phi Kappa Phi honorary and plans to create a new organization in the fall that will help communities in West Virginia to create economic development policy.  His research interests are in the fields of public policy, urban and regional economics, public economics, and economic policy.

Brianne Williams is a senior in aerospace engineering major from Hyattsville, Md. She plans to pursue a PhD. in aerospace engineering. After getting her degree, she would like work for Aerospace Corporation in Los Angeles, California.  She is also a member of Sigma Gamma Tau - an aerospace engineering honor society, National Society of Black Engineers and Society of Women Engineers.

Patricia Underwood is an Art Education major with teaching certification.  Her studio major is printmaking.  She plans to conduct her research on how critical inquiry and written response will help students better interpret works of art.  She eventually plans on obtaining her Ph.D. in Art Education.
Daniel Trejo born in Los Angeles, CA of Hispanic and Native American heritage, Danny worked in inner city areas of LA for many years with gangs and drug abuse problems and moved to WV in 1988.  He received certification in Addiction Counseling in 1988 and received WV Social Work license in 1995.  Danny worked with Native American healers, Black Elk and Bear Heart, from 1981 to 1988.  He has been the Director of Morgantown Area Youth Services Project, a non-profit agency, from 1996 to present.  Danny’s McNair project will focus on the integration of Native American healing practices and beliefs into psychotherapy setting.
