


James F. Greene
LaNelle A. Barber soon to be known as Dr. Barber! Currently she is a junior at WVU in the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences majoring in Communication Studies. LaNelle also serves as a conductor of the Center for Black Culture and Research Paul Robeson/ Mahalia Jackson Choir. She volunteers in her free time at the Center for Black Culture and Research. She also worked as a Resident Assistant for the 03-04 school year. Her future goal is to become a Professor of Communication Studies or Theology. LaNelle loves working with people and knows that she will be teaching somewhere someday.
Xinhuang (Tony) Huang is a
Mechanical Engineering Major at WVU. Tony lived in New York City
for a year before moving to West Virginia with his family in
1996. He is interested in the Mini Baja design class at the WVU
College of Engineering and Mineral Resources which is offered to
seniors. Tony is interested in researching heavy-duty diesel
engine emissions. He plans to continue in automotives in his
graduate studies.



Deana Kleine resides in Arthurdale, WV on a mini farm with her husband. Currently she is finishing her undergraduate studies in Horticulture at WVU. After earning her bachelor’s degree she plans on attending graduate school in a closely related field and work towards obtaining her doctorate. Conducting organic crop-related research and teaching on a college level are her goals. She is presently involved in the Plant and Soil Science Club and the Bonsai Club.

Michelle Mantooth is currently a Psychology major at West Virginia University. She is the daughter of Pamela and the late Billy Joe Mantooth. She has been a resident of West Virginia for twenty-one years and plans to attend graduate school on the east coast. Michelle’s future goals entail gaining a Ph.D. degree in child clinical or developmental psychology.

Brittany Morgan is a psychology major from Princeton, WV. She is currently a senior and a member of Psi Chi (the National Honor Society of Psychology). Her future plans are to attend graduate school at Carnegie Mellon or Duke University and to obtain a PhD in either Social Psychology or Industrial/Organizational Psychology.

Katrina McCoy is a junior pre-psychology major at WVU. After she earns her B.A. in Psychology she hopes to attend graduate school on the west coast to attain her Ph.D. Social Psychology is what attracted Katrina to her major, but for The McNair Scholar’s Program she has chosen to expand her horizons and learn about another specific area, Forensic Psychology. She also enjoys creative writing and singing.
Greta Martin is currently a junior in the Social Work program at West Virginia University. She is the eldest of nine children and enjoys interacting with others. She also enjoys dancing and is a dance minor. Greta is a Resident Assistant for Boreman Hall and a member of Kappa Phi, the Christian Sorority on campus. Greta loves to travel and is always open to new experiences. Greta looks forward to graduating and going on to graduate school.





Linda Riddle is currently working on a BFA in Visual Arts with a studio concentration in Sculpture. She is an active member of both WVU's student chapter of the National Art Educators Association and the Women's International Bowling Congress. Linda Plans to graduate in May 2005 and immediately pursue an MFA in either Studio Art or Arts Administration.

Tenishia Rhodes is from Parkersburg, West Virginia. She is currently a junior at West Virginia University. Tenishia is double-majoring in Secondary Education and Spanish presently and plans to pursue her doctorate in Spanish.
Wayan D. Rata is completing a B.A. in Liberal Arts. A single hammer stroke upon a block of plaster caused him to reevaluate his academic orientation and he is now completing a B.F.A. in Studio Sculpture. In graduate school he plans to pursue a M.F.A. in the same discipline and then a Ph.D. in Art History or Art Theory focusing on the contemporary movement in animation art dubbed, “Japanime.”
