The Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement Program at
WVU helps two groups of undergraduate students prepare for and succeed
in graduate school:
(1)
First-generation (neither parent has a college degree) with financial
need
(2) Under-represented
(Black, Hispanic, American Indian/Alaskan native, Pacific Islander, and
Native Hawaiian.)
McNair
Provides $2500 annual stipend, GRE preparation, mentor-guided research
opportunities, travel funding for conferences and for graduate school
visits.
To qualify,
you must be a member of one
of the two groups mentioned above, and
have a desire to earn a Ph.D. You
must
have completed sophomore year by May 2009
and an
overall GPA of 3.0 or better.
