4. Next you will be presented with the Import Wizard. Pick the option labeled "Don't import anything" and click Next:
5. Thunderbird should now launch. You will be presented with the Account Wizard. In this first screen choose the option labeled "Email account" and click Next.
6. The next step is to fill in your name and MIX email address. Once this is complete click Next.. Please choose the same options as illustrated in the following screen shots:
7. The next step is to set the mail servers. You will be using an IMAP server. The Incoming Server should be set to mix.wvu.edu. The outgoing server should be set to smtp.wvu.edu if you are connecting from the WVU campus. If you are off campus, you need to contact your ISP to find out what their SMTP server is. If this setting is not set correctly you will not be able to send email through Thunderbird.

Once the servers have been set click the Next button.
