Teaching this Fall?
If you are interested in using WVU eCampus, all sections from STAR are now available by clicking the Fall 2007 link at https://ecampus.wvu.edu and logging into Main Campus with your MIX id. Alternatively you can go to the VCRS system at https://vcrs.wvu.edu for additional course requests. There are many useful tools in WVU eCampus. This is where you should post documents so students can download. We do not want you to send large documents to students in their MIX e-mail since students are limited to a 250 mb mailbox.
If you are not familiar with eCampus, there are training workshops scheduled. For more details and to register, go to http://oit.wvu.edu/training/schedule.html.
General – Related to accounts and e-mail
- The quota for all mail accounts will remain 250MB. Faculty who already have a different quota or need a different quota allocated should contact us at mix@mail.wvu.edu. Other users, with the support of the appropriate dean or department chair, may request an increased quota; such requests will be reviewed on an individual basis.
-
Faculty are able to forward their MIX account to their GroupWise account.
The following domains are accepted:
mail.wvu.edu,
hsc.wvu.edu, and
rcbhsc.wvu.edu.
To set a forwarding address visit https://stats.mix.wvu.edu/ and login with your MIX username and password. Please note that it is a secure site so you must add the "s" after http.
- Messages in the INBOX or in any other folder expire after one
year and will be deleted. Messages placed in Trash or the Deleted Items
folder will be removed after 7 days.
- The session timeout for the new version of MIX is set to 30 minutes (same as current system). To allow for any longer than this is a security risk. If you are timing out more quickly than 30 minutes, call the HelpDesk at 304-293-4444 because spyware on your machine or antivirus settings may cause you to have a time out issue.
