David McCollum
Adjunct Assistant Professor Tuba and Euphonium
David McCollum, Adjunct Assistant Professor of Tuba, holds Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from Duquesne University. He is an active free-lance musician in the Pittsburgh area. He is currently the Principal Tuba of the Pittsburgh Ballet Orchestra and Pittsburgh Opera Orchestra.
Performing frequently with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, Mr. McCollum has toured Europe and the Far East, participating in many international music festivals. He has taught at the Tangelwood Music Festival where, as a member of the Pittsburgh Brass Quintet, he assisted Sam Pilafian and the Empire Brass Quintet in coaching brass chamber ensembles.
