Janis-Rozena Peri

Associate Professor - Voice

As a soprano and Associate Professor of Music at West Virginia University, Janis-Rozena Peri brings an extensive array of experience to her students. She has premiered many vocal works, held recitals, and has had guest appearances at numerous locations, including Town Hall in New York City, Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, and Wolftrap. She has also given performances throughout several European countries, including Germany, Switzerland, and Holland. She has performed with the Hartford Philharmonic Orchestra, the Virginia Philharmonic, the Virginia Choral Society, and the Pittsburgh Bach Choir. Professor Peri received her degrees from Otterbein College and the Miami University of Ohio. Additionally, she has studied with Richard Miller, Rose Bampton, Mina Cravi-Bozza, Doris Jung, Camilla Williams, Shirlee Emmons, and Dalton Baldwin. She has also been a soloist in numerous productions including the CBS Camera Three program, "Gustav Mahler in New York".
