Music Audition Procedures
Acceptance to West Virginia University as a Music Major is a two step process. First, the applicant must be accepted by the University, and then by the Division of Music.
Freshman
Students will be considered for admissions to West Virginia University on the basis of graduation and submission of transcripts from accredited high schools, and A.C.T. or S.A.T. test results. Additional criteria for admisson may be found in the West Virginia University catalog.
Applicants should prepare their parts of the Freshman Application and then submit it to their high school. The school then will send the completed application and transcript of the student's high school grades directly to the West Virginia University Office of Admissions and Records. Results of the S.A.T. or A.C.T. tests should be sent directly to West Virginia University.
Out of state students are urged to make early application for admission to the university. It is also advisable that, if possible, they audition on one of the two dates in February, whether or not they are interested in financial assistance.

- a completed Application for Transfer Admission
