Ellesa Clay High is a member of the Lower Eastern Ohio Mekoce Shawnee. She teaches American Indian literature, film, and creative writing. Dr. High is an award-winning writer of poetry, fiction, and nonfiction, as well as scholarly work. Presently, she is completing a book on the indigenous history and cultures of West Virginia.
