Dr. Majewski’s current research is focused on cultural factors and food insecurity in American Indian reservation communities.  She has worked on the Pine Ridge and Cheyenne River Lakota reservations in South Dakota, Northern Cheyenne reservation in Montana, and the Wind River reservation in Wyoming. Her other interests include: Sovereignty and treaty rights, economic self-sufficiency, preservation of traditional culture and social service delivery.  She has been trying to put together an edited volume on social work with indigenous peoples with contributions from various parts of the world.
