Dr. Bruner is a proud member of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation of Oklahoma and has a PhD in Spanish from  Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey.  He has been at WVU since 1990 and teaches courses in Spanish language, culture/civilization and literature  and does research on contemporary Spanish narrative.
