Frequently Asked Questions... 1. How long will it take? The program is 36 credit hours distributed across three summers (July) and two academic years. 2. Do I need to travel to West Virginia University? Yes. During each of three summers the teachers are required to spend up to two weeks at WVU. The faculty at WVU believe that it is important to have direct contact with teachers throughout the program to deliver a high quality educational experience. The faculty want to know all of the program participants first hand and be able to engender an espirit de corps among all of the teachers. This is important because program participants will be communicating with one another during the course of the degree program. During the summer teachers will take 6 credits during a two week session in July. During the second summer the teachers will participate in a two week experience in July, and the program will conclude with a final two-week experience the third summer. 3.
