About the Department

The Physics department is composed of 20 full-time faculty, about 80 graduate and undergraduate students, and 9 staff members. The areas of active research include astronomy, condensed matter physics, theoretical nonlinear and fluid dynamics, theoretical high energy physics, plasma and space physics. The department provides comprehensive undergraduate and graduate course curriculum leading to BS, MS, and PhD degrees.
