Welcome to the website for the
Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity,
Alpha Rho Chapter
at West Virginia University.
Pi Kappa Phi is a leadership fraternity based in Charlotte, North Carolina. The fraternity consists of approximately 130 chapters nationwide.
Founded as Nu Phi (the non-fraternity) in Charleston, South Carolina at the turn of the 20th Century, we have grown from humble beginnings based in friendship and trust to a nationwide brotherhood of more than 80,000 men, living and leading in every state and community in the United States. |
Formal rush is held on campus twice each academic year, once in the fall semester and once in the spring semester, though our chapter is always looking for valuable students to advance the fraternity and themselves through our "Men of CLASS" values...
Character: Here at Pi kappa Phi you are sure to be surrounded by men who are always striving to do their best, and to help others reach their full potential as men of CLASS.
Leadership: Leave here with the ability to be a leader among leaders. Go to leadership camps with Pi Kapps from around the nation. Learn the skills it takes to be a leader at Pi Kapp College and the Mid-Year Leadership Confrences. Pi Kappa Phi offers more leadership seminars than any other fraternal organization.
Academics: The reason that brought us to this institution is also a glue that must be strengthened. Allow Pi Kappa Phi to help you in your academic career by providing academic coaches who will assist you in succeeding in college.
Service: Learn more about yourself and become a better man through the service of those in need. Through work with Push America, Pi Kappa Phi helps build Men of Class. With such projects as Journey of Hope, Build America, and Give-a-Push Weekends, there are many opportunities for Pi Kapps to stay involved. Pi Kappa Phi is the only fraternity that has created and manages its own national philathropy.
Sportsmanship: Become involved in intramural sports at WVU and participate in the Pi Kapp Olympics at Pi Kapp College. We all like to win, but sportsmanship is about doing so with class.
