PATS Upcoming Events for 2000-2001 The Professional Association for Technological Studies (PATS) at West Virginia University hosts or supports a number of events devoted to technological issues each semester.  For instance, we sponsor a number of library research workshops to assist students in their research.  We also sponsor presentations by faculty and researchers on current developments in their fields.   Occasionally, we offer field trips to technology research sites in the region and we infrequently organize and sponsor a technology-related panel discussion or speaker event on campus, with professionals from diverse disciplines addressing issues of broad concern.  In addition, we provide instructional sessions and materials on student programs-of-study, software applications, upcoming conferences, job possibilities, and publication assistance.  And we offer at least two major social event per semester for members to relax and have fun: the December Holiday Banquet and the Spring Graduation Party.
