Purpose of the Organization:
PATS is a student organization at WVU which promotes the professional development of students of technological studies through networking, research, and the dissemination of technological information. The organization is closely tied to the Technology Education Program within the Department of Advanced Educational Studies, West Virginia University.
Membership is open to any student, faculty, staff, alumni, or member of the larger community who is interested in the dynamic, interactive relationship between society and technology. We are concerned with both traditional and emerging technologies positioned within their social, economic, political, environmental, and educational contexts, and combine an academic understanding with practical knowledge of specific technologies.
