Part-time Curriculum Developer

The National White Collar Crime Center is seeking a part-time employee who is motivated and well-organized to join it’s Training and Research Institute staff in Morgantown, West Virginia. The Curriculum Developer will provide support to other staff and membership in design and development of training programs for law enforcement and regulatory agencies.

Requirements: Proficient knowledge of Instructional Systems Design (ISD) and Computer-Based/Web-Based Training. Tasks include designing and developing courses using HTML platform and other authoring systems. Ability to work in a team environment during the creation of text-based manuals and documentation to accompany training courses. Excellent computer skills using IBM compatible technologies and software: Microsoft FrontPage, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft PageMaker, and Corel Draw skills a necessity. Additional duties include proficiency with instructional design and layout skills: scripting, flowcharting, storyboarding, editing, scanning, and writing. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Must possess a commitment to a client service environment and have a team-oriented work ethic.

Interested Masters or Doctorate students who are working on degrees in either Instructional Design, Technology Education, Curriculum & Instruction, or a related field, supplemented by 2 years professional work experience, are encouraged to apply. Based on institution requirements, this position may qualify as an internship for academic credit.

A complete background investigation and drug test is required. Part-time positions are 20 hours per week and the hourly rate is commensurate with education, experience, skills, and abilities.
