PATS/Tech Ed Events for Spring 1998
Tuesday January 13
12:30-1:50 p.m.: Technology Education/PATS
Graduate Seminar Series. Dr. David McCrory of
the Technology Education Program will introduce the TE 496 Seminar. Meet
in the Conference Room at Tatterson House, 2945 University Avenue, Evansdale.
2:00-3:00 p.m.: PATS Meeting in the Conference Room at
Tatterson House. The main agenda items are the introduction of new
officers for 1998, canvassing members' ideas for the 1998 agenda of activities,
and discussion of revisions to the organizational constitution. See
the minutes for this meeting.
Tuesday January 27
12:30-1:50 p.m.: Technology Education/PATS
Graduate Seminar Series. Dr. Ernest Goeres, Associate Dean of
the School of Human Resources and Education, will speak on "University Policies and Procedures
for Research Projects involving Human Subjects". Amy Moorman, Assistant
General Counsel at WVU, will speak on "Copyright Law and the Internet". Meet
in the Conference Room at Tatterson House.
2:00-3:00 p.m.: PATS Meeting in the Conference Room at
Tatterson House. The main agenda items are the 1998 agenda of activities,
and discussion of revisions to the organizational constitution.
Tuesday February 10
12:30-1:50 p.m.: Technology Education/PATS
Graduate Seminar Series. Roman Olynyk and Dennis Robinson of
WVNET will
conduct a tour of the facilities of the West Virginia Network for Educational
Telecomputing. Meet promptly at 12:30 p.m. at Tatterson
House to carpool
to the site.
2:00-3:00 p.m.: PATS Meeting in the Conference Room at
Tatterson House. The main agenda items are to be announced.
Tuesday February 24
12:30-1:50 p.m.: Technology Education/PATS
Graduate Seminar Series. Kim Kavanagh of the US Coast Guard will
speak on "Moving from the traditional Human Resources Department to Human Performance
Technology". Meet at 405 Allen Hall.
2:00-3:00 p.m.: PATS Meeting in the Conference Room at
Tatterson House. The main agenda items are to be announced.

12:30-3:00 p.m.: Technology Education/PATS
Graduate Seminar Series. First of all, Heather Dupont,
Training Coordinator for WVHTC, will
conduct a tour of the Allen B. Mollohan
Center, including the West Virginia High Technology Consortium (WVHTC),
the Small Business Center, Lockheed Martin, and more. Then Tom
Wilson of the NASA Independent
Software Verification & Validation Center, with
Ernie Frank, Graduate Research Assistant, will conduct a tour of the Validation
facility. Meet promptly at 12:30 p.m. at Tatterson House to carpool
to Fairmont location. Please note that this seminar event will last
longer than usual.

Tuesday April 21
12:30-1:50 p.m.: Technology Education/PATS
Graduate Seminar Series. First, Cheryl Prichard, Asst. Professor,
WVU Speech Pathology & Audiology Dept., will speak about "Writing an Effective Research Grant Proposal".
Second, Dr. David McCrory will speak about "Professional Associations related to
Technology Education". Meet in the Conference Room at Tatterson House.
2:00-3:00 p.m.: PATS Meeting in the Conference Room at
Tatterson House. The main agenda items are to be announced.
