LSB Night Welcome to the West Virginia University Department of Psychology Web Page! Here you will find detailed information about our graduate and undergraduate programs and our many research, teaching, and service activities. The Department consists of approximately 25 faculty, 80 graduate students, 600 undergraduate majors and pre-majors, and 5 support staff, housed in the state-of-the-art Life Sciences Building. Both our undergraduate and doctoral programs have been designated Programs of Excellence by the West Virginia University Board of Governors, and our graduate program recently received the Award for Innovation in Graduate Education from the American Psychological Association. Sunday's Dominion Post, February 22, includes a series on children with autism, and Claire St. Peter Pipkin is featured in one of the articles. It is headlined "Teachers tailor their lessons to the needs of each student with autism" and appears on Page 3-A.

On Thursday, February 19, Cheryl McNeil was presented with the John R. Williams Outstanding Teacher Award. The award is from the WVU Honors College in recognition of excellent teaching with Honors students. Psychology major Chelsea Derlan, who works with Cheryl, won an award for outstanding research among the Honors students.

Karen Anderson will be the new Associate Editor of Behavioural Processes beginning in January of 2009
