Number of Students in Program
The normal complement of students in the program is 16, or a total of about four per year. The number admitted in a given year has ranged between 1 and 6 over the last ten years. These extremes reflect the availability of support positions, attrition, and the pool of qualified applicants. The number of students admitted in each of the last five years is as follows:
2005: 4 students admitted (2 with Bachelor’s degrees, 2 with Master’s degree)
2004: 4 students admitted (2 with Bachelor’s degrees, 2 with Master’s degree)
2003: 5 students admitted (3 with Bachelor’s degrees, 2 with Master’s degree)
2002: 5 students admitted (4 with Bachelor’s degrees, 1 with Master’s degree)
2001: 5 students admitted (all with Bachelor’s degrees)
