Research Facilities
The Department of Psychology has moved into the new Life Sciences Building. Each faculty member has individually designed research laboratory space available for their own and student use. In addition, the Hayne Reese Group Research Laboratory provides additional space for observational research.
Off-campus research sites are also available. For example, the WVU Health Science Center in Morgantown and Magee Women’s Hospital in Pittsburgh have frequently served as infant research sites. In addition, faculty and students have established good working relations with a number of local day-care centers and nursery schools, the Monongalia County Schools, and a large number of senior centers, all of which have provided research space. Space for research with adults and the elderly is also available through the Center on Aging. The Center’s graduate Certificate program includes field placements that can also serve as research sites.
