Doctoral Candidacy Examination
Developmental students are required to take the doctoral candidacy examination ("prelim") early in their third year in the program. The developmental prelim is a written-memory examination or a take-home examination with questions in two areas: methodology and a life-span topic. See the Graduate Handbook for more information.
