“New products, new industries, and more jobs require continuous additions to knowledge of the laws of nature, and the application of that knowledge to practical purposes.”

— Vannevar Bush, the first Presidential Science Advisor in Science: The Endless Frontier, 1945

When the expert researchers at West Virginia University engage their skills and talents to tackle major problems and issues, they do more than generate new game-changing knowledge across a wide range of social and scientific disciplines – their discoveries, just as Vannevar Bush envisioned, improve the quality of life for people of all walks of life; spark new economic development; and inspire and educate the next generation of American leaders.

The range and scope of the work under way by WVU researchers incorporates areas that touch, or soon will touch, millions of lives.

The goal of the WVU Research Corporation is to further refine, elevate and support WVU’s record of research accomplishment and broaden its impact on the economies of West Virginia and the United States.

This site seeks to illuminate WVU research currently under way and highlight programs and projects that help WVU faculty and investigators who are seeking funding, intellectual property assistance, commercialization help and institutional support.
