The minutes from the last meeting stand approved as written.
IV. Executive Reports
Pres. Kirkpatrick
- 150-160 students expressed interest in SGA during various events over the summer.
- Thanks to all in attendance tonight
- There will be an announcement on recycling next week.
- September 5th there will be an announcement on safety and transportation.
VP Parsons
- Welcome back.
- Josh Dodd, the SGA webmaster is working on updates to the site. This year the site will feature an interactive blog, links to the DA, Dominion Post, and minuets from SGA meetings.
- Governors Peters and Cutlip have been working on the SGA/Parents Club Heart Walk.
- Governor Rogers has been working on her platform dealing with off campus housing.

- The MANDATORY retreat will be on September 15th, more details will be e-mailed soon.

- The SGA / Parents Club 5K will take place on September 2nd from 10am-noon. It will be held on the rail trail starting at Hazel Ruby McQuain Park. The 5K is free for students and $20 for parents. T-shirts and Pedometers will be distributed.
- Wellness Week will take place September 2-6. Healthy foods and a Dance Dance Revolution competition are a few of the many events in the works for the week.
- Wellness Week will also feature a competition between the President’s office and SGA.
- 15 Volunteers are needed to help with recycling for the first WVU football game on Sept. 1st.

- Grant applications will be available next week.
- A governor is needed to be a member of the bureau of finance. .
