WVU eTD Collection Access

 

Please note that all WVU faculty, staff and students will now need to login to the new WVU eTD system in order to access campus restricted documents in the collection at http://etd.wvu.edu/.  The main links from the WVU eTD welcome screen appear as follows:

• Basic Access
  

• WVU Expanded Access (WVU Central ID Required)
  
  

  • In order to login you will need to select the "WVU Central ID Required" link. It only takes a moment to complete the online application, then an email is sent to confirm your login ID and password.
    

  • Once you have a login ID, you may proceed to the "WVU Expanded Access" link.
    

  • Visitors from outside the WVU community may use the "Basic Access" link in order to access the document data for all eTDs but will only be provided direct file links for eTDs designated as "World" access distribution. Campus restricted documents may still be obtained through Interlibrary loan request.

With the new eTD system we can now provide collection access to the WVU community in a secured fashion regardless of physical location (i.e. on- or off-campus) and verify new student submissions without having to transmit personal identity information through the Web. This will be the authentication model to be implemented across campus for all secured Web access applications.
