May 2003 Newsletter Printable Version Phipps Conservatory & Botanical Gardens and The National Aviary On April 26, 2003, the University Club took a trip to Pittsburgh to visit Phipps Conservatory & Botanical Gardens and the National Aviary. Learning about the different vegetation and seeing the butterfly exhibit at the conservatory was amazing. And the birds at the aviary are always fascinating. The weather could have cooperated a little better, but all in all, the trip was fabulous. Upcoming Events Gateway Clipper -- May 31 Join us as we take a Lock ‘n Dam Adventure Cruise on the Gateway Clipper Fleet. We will board in Pittsburgh at Station Square where you can feel free to shop, look around, or grab lunch. Then we will take a tour down the river. If Station Square isn’t where you would like to have lunch, there is also food served right on the Gateway Clipper. Itinerary:
10:30 am-Arrive in Pittsburgh at Station Square 12:30 pm-Begin boarding boat for tour 3:15 pm-Cruise ends 5:00 pm-Arrive back at the Coliseum
