
What is WVU Collegiate 4-H?
WVU Collegiate 4-H is a Student Organization at WVU that focuses on serving the community.
It's members are interested in staying connected to 4-H while in a collegiate atmosphere.
Anyone can join- 4-H background or none. Our purpose is to serve the community while
making friends and having a ball.
I'm not in to agriculture, is 4-H the place for me?
4-H encompasses all areas of youth development. As a 4-H member, you can find ways to
pursue your own interests. Agriculture is just one aspect out of many 4-H areas.
What are the benefits of joining WVU Collegiate 4-H?
There are many activities that one can participate in. We travel to regional and
national conferences. Participate in a large number of service activities. The
benefits go further than just resumes, the friendships made are life long.
Does it cost me anything?
It is free to join WVU Collegiate 4-H. Check out our calander and come visit
us sometime.
Do I have to be enrolled as member in my home county to join on the Collegiate 4-H?
No! Some of our members who are still under the age of 21 are enrolled as a "Member
at Large" within their home county, but you do not have to be.
I'm over 21, can I still be a member?
Yes, any WVU student can be a member.
I'm really busy this semester, I don't think I have time to join the WVU Collegiate 4-H Club...
There are no meeting attendance requirements to be in our club. If you
are a student and can't make it on our meeting nights, make sure you sign up to be on our list
serve (click here to send a request to be on our list serve). This will keep
you filled in on activities and you can sign up to volunteer for things via
email. You can be as involved as you can afford to be.
