PHYS 301: Computational Physics
Using basic numerical techniques to gain insight into physical systems. Numerical soluctions for projectile motion, chaotic systems, and motion in a gravitational field (including N-body simulations). Numerical solutions to Maxwell's equations, the diffusion equation, the wave equation, Schrodinger's equation, and the hydrogen atom. Implementation of discrete Fourier Transforms and wavelet methods for analysis of time series.
