Choose a First-Year Trip
Start your college experience like a real Mountaineer. Our optional Adventure WV First-Year Trips are peer-led, adventure-based programs that will prepare you for life at WVU. All trips take place in June, July or August. Registration is first-come, first-served for admitted students who have paid the academic deposit.

Apply for Promise
Deadline extended to May 1.
The Promise Scholarship for West Virginia residents is sponsored by the state of West Virginia. To be considered, you must complete the Promise application and submit the FAFSA. The usual deadline is March 1. The Class of 2024 deadline has been extended to May 1 due to the delayed FAFSA launch.Learn About Promise
