Pay the Academic Deposit

The academic deposit saves your place in our incoming class and allows you to continue the admissions process. Paying your academic deposit unlocks important next steps like housing!

Your academic deposit is fully refundable if you formally cancel your WVU attendance by December 1 for spring term enrollment and **May 1 for fall term enrollment.

**Due to the late release of the 2024-2025 FAFSA, we have extended the deadline to June 1 for academic and housing deposit refunds for first-time students. You must cancel your WVU application or attendance using the cancellation form by June 1 for a full refund of the academic deposit and/or a partial refund of the housing deposit. Deposits are forfeited if cancelling after June 1.

Pay Your Bill

By the end of the first week of July, fall semester charges will be available in WVU MyAccount, which you can access through the WVU Portal. You will receive a billing notification in your MIX email if you owe a balance. Payment is due August 1.

Tip: Tuition payment plans are available to break up your semester's tuition and fees into smaller, more manageable installments.

You won’t receive a bill if you have paid your fees, have established a payment plan that covers your balance, have a sponsor paying your fees or have enough aid to cover your charges.

Welcome home! If you’re living in a residence hall for fall 2024, you’ll sign up for a specific time slot to move in. Details will be sent to your WVU MIX email in early June.
