Pay Your Academic Deposit
The academic deposit is required of all students and saves your place in our incoming class.
Steps to Complete
- If you haven't done so already, claim your account.
- Sign in to WVU Portal using your WVU Login credentials.
- Select the Pay Your Academic Deposit link.
- Pay the academic deposit — $150 for West Virginia residents and $250 for all other students — using an electronic check or credit card (VISA, MasterCard, Discover and American Express).
Contact the WVU IT Service Desk if you have a technical problem while paying the academic deposit.
We're here to help every step of the way.
Have questions about your next steps? Or about submitting your deposit? Your WVU admissions counselor is an expert on these topics (and many more, so ask them anything!). And it’s literally their job to chat with you! Reach out to them any time.
