Submitting Additional Documents

When do I need to submit additional documents?

You need to submit additional documents if:

  • The documents provided with your application were unofficial. Unofficial documents are uploads, emails with no means of authentication, or any other document that could not be verified.
  • Your documents did not show final grades or successful completion of secondary education.
  • Your education system requires a national exam (e.g., KCSE, SSC/HSC) to attend university and you have not submitted results.

Getting official documents

Official documents are original or certified copies. Your school can provide an official transcript in 1 of 2 ways:

  • Shipped directly to WVU.
  • In a sealed envelope for you to ship to WVU.

If your school issued only 1 original certified document and you have it, take it to your school or another authorized official to make a certified copy. Certified copies must include the stamp, seal, and/or signature of the office attesting to its authenticity. Send the certified copy to WVU and keep the original.

How do I submit documents?

Mail or ship (by DHL, UPS, or FedEx) original or certified copies of your original final transcripts and/or diploma to us at:
