Cancel Your Attendance
Incoming Freshmen and Transfer Students
Newly admitted freshmen and transfer students who have decided not to attend a WVU System campus should use this page to cancel their admission.
Students will need to sign in to the MyWVU Portal (your application portal, not the WVU Portal used for onboarding) to submit a Change Request, located in the top right-hand corner of the portal homepage.
Note: To be eligible for a refund, you must cancel by midnight on May 1.
Multiple Campus Applications
New first-time freshmen and transfer students who applied to multiple WVU System campuses should not use MyWVU Portal to cancel their application. For assistance, contact your admissions representative at:
Current Students
If you are a current student registered for classes and have decided to withdraw from the University, follow the withdraw policies outlined by Registrar’s Office. In addition to withdrawing from courses through the STAR system, contact WVU Hub and Residence Life to cancel financial aid and housing if needed.
