How to Apply
Review Your Eligibility
Review the admissions and program requirements to determine your eligibility.
If you didn’t meet WVU freshman admission requirements but have since attended another accredited institution, you may be eligible to apply as a transfer student. To qualify, you must have at least 24 transferable credit hours and a minimum 2.0 GPA in all college coursework.
Complete the WVU Application
To apply as a transfer student, complete the WVU Application and include the nonrefundable fee of $65 for domestic students and $75 for international students.
If you are switching to WVU Morgantown from another WVU campus, please follow the steps for Change of Campus students.
Submit Documents
Request official transcripts from all institutions you have attended.
If you’re applying for the fall semester and are in your first semester of college, submit your transcript after your first semester grads have posted.
If you’re applying with fewer than 24 transferrable credits, you must also send your final high school transcript.
