Major: Elementary Education

Hometown: Falling Waters, WV

Favorite Professor: Veronica Rine was fun, relatable and easy to talk to. She was always willing to help her students improve through feedback and workshops, and she helped me to be successful during my first semester of college.

Fun Fact: I was a Girl Scout for 13 years.

Hobbies: I enjoy playing with my dogs, painting and drawing, and listening to music.

Advice for Freshmen: Meet and talk to new people. Find a group or club that you want to be a part of and get into it early. It'll help you adjust to your new life at college and make new friends.

Major: Occupational Therapy

Hometown: Chambersburg, PA

Favorite Professor: Mark Paternostro. He is extremely knowledgeable and helpful and relates to students so well. I have learned more from his class than I have in any other class.

Fun Fact: I am a huge fan of the TV show "The Golden Girls." My mom and I have watched it too many times to count.

Hobbies: I enjoy shopping, traveling, exercising and outdoor adventures.

Advice for Freshmen: Get involved and don't be afraid to go out of your comfort zone. We are all here to expand our horizons and become better versions of ourselves! Challenge yourself, and never look back!

Major: Communication Studies and Philosophy

Hometown: Shinnston, WV

Favorite Professor: One of my favorites is Dr. David Hoinski. He truly loves what he teaches. I’ve taken two of his philosophy classes so far, and I really enjoy how they are discussion-based. Every person’s thoughts are valued.

Fun Fact: I’ve been to the top floor of the Eiffel Tower.

Hobbies: I enjoy reading, singing and trying new food.

Advice for Freshmen: Be patient and give yourself time to adjust — especially in the first few weeks. I can promise you that you won’t be the only one feeling a little lost, so don’t be afraid to reach out for help.

Favorite Professor: Stephanie Lorenze. She has opened many doors full of opportunities for me.

Fun Fact: I have a geographical tongue.

Hobbies: I enjoy reading, hanging out with friends and shopping.

Advice for Freshmen: Never take a moment for granted.

We offer two commuter lounges: one on Evansdale in E. Moore Hall (check out the panorama below to see E. Moore) and another on the downtown area of campus.
