Major: Biology

Hometown: Huntington, WV

Favorite Professor: Dr. Dana Huebert Lima, who teaches Cellular and Molecular Biology. Taking her course helped me decide to change my major to Biology and explore more opportunities within the Biology Department. She also helped me develop my project for the Honors EXCEL program.

Fun Fact: I used to do taekwondo and got all the way to second-degree black belt.

Hobbies: I love to crochet. I am currently working on a six-foot-long blue and gold scarf right now. I also enjoy reading thriller novels and playing video games.

Advice for Freshmen: Stay organized. Double check your email every day, keep a planner and never, ever throw away notes!

Megan Overby

Major: Speech Pathology

Hometown: Mechanicsville, MD

Favorite Professor: Dr. Aaron Gale. I took his RELG 303 class. He had very interesting lectures and was always willing to help his students. Even though the class did not pertain to my major, I was always excited to go.

Fun Fact: I am a Morgantown Wyldlife leader.

Hobbies: I enjoy exercising at the Rec Center, hiking and hammocking with my friends.

Advice for Freshmen: Put yourself out there. Going outside of your comfort zone can be intimidating but you should try to attend all of the Welcome Week events and join some clubs. It will help you connect with people who have the same interests as you and can help you find new friends!
