What is the Student Health Insurance Waiver?

All domestic students enrolling in 6 or more credits, or international students with any number of credits, are required to have health insurance coverage. Students may show proof of coverage by filing the Student Health Insurance Waiver (opens June 1), or will be automatically enrolled in and billed for the WVU Aetna health insurance plan.

The Aetna plan is available mid-term should a student lose their personal coverage and need to enroll.

For more details regarding the waiver or the Aetna Plan, please visit our Student Health Insurance site.
