WVU is the flagship of the state of West Virginia, and the state’s only R1 institution. Transfer students in WV would be selecting the strongest and most prestigious university in the state by choosing WVU.

What makes WVU such a great value?

WVU provides students with an R1 level of education, while also honoring its land-grant mission statement and values. It is not exclusive to merely the most elite of students: students of all backgrounds have the ability to receive an excellent quality of education.

What are some things you would share with a student that they probably wouldn’t know about WVU?

ALL student types are welcome at WVU. First-time freshmen, transfers, extroverts, introverts, social butterflies, lone wolves, ANYONE can fit in with the great family of WVU.

What advice do you give to students who are preparing for college?

Get out and about and meet as many new people as you can, and explore passions you may not have dived into before.
