Federal Student Aid
No priority deadline for 2024-2025 aid year.
Don’t forget to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). You may qualify for additional need-based and institutional aid by submitting the FAFSA.
WVU’s priority deadline for the FAFSA is usually March 1. The 2024-2025 priority deadline has been removed due to the delayed FAFSA launch. Use FAFSA School Code 003827 for WVU.

Deadline extended to September 1.
The Promise Scholarship is sponsored by the state of West Virginia. To be considered, you must be a West Virginia resident and complete the Promise application and the FAFSA. The deadline is usually March 1. The Class of 2024 deadline has been extended to September 1 due to the delayed FAFSA launch.
WVU scholarships usually are offered in addition to Promise.
